Thanks for the update. You may have heard that the Republican VP selection has the whole countrys turned upside down. I listened to her
accptance talk by accident….I was waiting for someone near a TV set. Very impressive delivery and content. She gets points for that alone
She give the impression that she is not of the Washington DC pack and that set’s her apart.
She will do a lot for her party.
BUT, I followed several congessmen and thier careers when I was writing for the magazne in Cleveland in the 60s and 70s We wanted to know the technical background of the congressmen. In one electrion yeare there were only 3 with engineering degrees, There werer a couple of doctors and the rest attorneys.
All the engineers were buck the system rebels.
Two never were re-elected because their party did
not back them and they could get no legislation through the system to benefit their back home people The third go into line and when last I looked was chariman of some big deal committee.
Point is, you never now how a person is going to respond once they are in the system.
